The Gates Family Foundation embraces programs with the following values and attributes:
Applicants must be classified as a 501(c)(3), or equivalent, by the Internal Revenue Service, and be able to provide proper tax-exempt documentation issued within the last five years. Grant support is generally confined to organizations that provide services benefiting the state of Colorado and its citizens.
