    Summary

    Exploros and Common Sense Education have partnered together to help develop digital citizenship in 1:1 classrooms. The Digital Literacy and Citizenship Curriculum empowers students to use critical thinking, smart behavior, and responsible participation in the digital world. The curriculum is taught by teachers, librarians, technology specialists, health educators, and guidance counselors around the world. The K-12 curriculum includes:

    • An introduction of reliable, research-based information to students about digital media and their impact;
    • A comprehensive and balance approach in addressing safety and security concerns;
    • Research-based lessons based on the work of Howard Gardner and the GoodPlay Project at the Harvard Graduate School of Education; and
    • Student-centered, media-rich lesson materials that emphasize skill building, critical thinking, ethical discussion, media creation, and decision making to students of all ages.

    Applications are accepted online on a rolling basis. However, applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Only a limited number of grants will be awarded. 

    Award Details

    Awardees will receive the Common Sense Education's Digital Literacy and Citizenship Curriculum to use with their 1:1 devices.
