The Mohawk Valley Medical Associates (MVMA) Foundation was founded in 2003 to promote the health of individuals living within Schenectady, Saratoga, Fulton, Montgomery, Warren, Washington, Albany, Rensselaer and Schoharie counties of New York. The primary purpose of the foundation is to engage and promote health through delivering health care services or by providing public education within the geographic region. Generally, projects must have a health-related focus and have the potential to benefit the public-at-large, within the 9-county MVMA service area.
The support strategies of the Foundation include general support, individual development, scholarships, and equipment.
Previously funded recipients include Ellis Medicine The Belanger School of Nursing, Empire State College School of Nursing, HVCC Foundation Nursing Program, Memorial School of Nursing, Sage Colleges Corporate Connections, Samaritan School of Nursing, and SUNY Empire State College Nursing Program.
