The 21st CCLC program intends to fund quality afterschool programs operated by knowledgeable and creative staff in partnership with schools and community agencies. To further enhance the impact on student achievement and career and college readiness programs will implement the following components:

Eligible applicants are New Jersey:
Eligible applicants must also serve participants in grades 4 through 12, who primarily attend schools eligible to participate in Title I schoolwide programs or schools that serve a high percentage of participants from low-income families.
Additionally, the families of those participants must also be served through the program. Applicants are required to serve a minimum of 75 students to be eligible for funding. The applicant agency may submit only one application.
Former cohort 7a grantees are eligible to reapply for funds under this competitive process.
Applications must be electronically submitted via the online Electronic Web Enabled Grant (EWEG) by 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST) on March 31, 2016. A similar deadline is anticipated annually.
Approximately $3,500,000 is anticipated to be available in total funding for FY16 to fund up to 10 awards. Awards will last for 5 years. Cost sharing/matching is not required.
