    Summary

The Innovation Planning Grant supports schools and public school corporations in the formulation of a plan for the thoughtful integration of technology into teaching and learning. Recipients of this grant receive support for professional development, technology readiness assessments, and other resources. The Innovation Planning Grant is funded by the state through the David C. Ford technology fund. Awardees will develop a Comprehensive Plan to Implement a One-to-One Program informed by:

    • External vendor support: corporations will need to complete two readiness assessments. Districts may have previously done preliminary self-assessments. The external audits must include:
      • Infrastructure or tech readiness audit - You may have completed the Future Ready self-assessment for a Robust Infrastructure(link is external).
      • Instructional audit to give an overview of your schools' learning culture and areas of professional development needs. You may have completed the Future Ready(link is external) self-assessments for Personalized Student Learning; Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment; Use of Space and Time; and Personalized Professional Learning. Multiple data points should be used for the audit, including class visits, focus groups, and surveys.
    • School visit(s): The team will visit at least one Indiana school corporation that has already successfully launched/implemented a 1:1 initiative.
    • Professional learning: The leadership team will participate in varied learning opportunities offered by the Office of eLearning and other organizations.
