    Summary

    United Planning Organization announces funds to support an organization to furnish and deliver meals to 12 sites participating in the Child and Adult Care Food Program.

    Contractor will prepare lunches, for the United Planning Organization (UPO) Office of Learning (OEL) that will meet all U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) meal pattern requirements as enforced by the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (see SCHEDULE C). The basic menu service will be prepared using current and seasonal menus developed by Contractor, which meet all requirements set by USDA and the recommended Dietary Allowance of the National Academy of Sciences. Menu is subjected to changes that may be requested by UPO. UPO will consult Contractor for special menu considerations for children with food allergies and intolerances. Contractor will inform UPO of any menu changes that may happen due to emergencies. All UPO sites are Nut Free and nut products will not be accepted by institution.

    UPO will inform Contractor of meal production counts. Production requirements will be based on child enrollment. The meal count will be updated as needed at any given time when a child is enrolled or dismissed.

    Award Details

    Award amounts vary. Payments by UPO to Contractor will be based on numbers of complete meals from the scheduled menu supplied by Contractor (lunch) produced for UPO at the established and agreed-upon rates.
