    The Mt. Hood Cable Regulatory Commission (MHCRC) provides grants through the Community Grants Program for the purpose of funding technology projects in Multnomah County, Oregon. The program helps local entities use cable system technology to improve video, data, and voice communications. The goal of this program is to improve learning resources by removing technical barriers to receiving a proper education.

    K-12 public school districts and individual districts are ineligible to apply for funding under this program. Public school districts are eligible for funding under the TechSmart Initiative.

    Eligible applicants must be located in, and serve residents of, Multnomah County, Oregon and include:

    • 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations
    • Colleges
    • Universities
    • Public libraries
    • Governmental units

    Deadline Details

    Pre-Applications must be submitted online by December 9, 2014.

    Successful applicants will then be invited to submit a proposal. 

    Award Details

    Approximately $800,000 is available in total funding for FY15. Individual award amounts vary. Cost sharing/matching of at least 50% is required.
